Renovaré is a small group format for Christian spiritual formation. Developed by Richard Foster - a leading writer on Christian spirituality, and author of A Celebration of Discipline, Prayer: The Heart’s True Home, and Streams of Living Water - Renovaré stresses a balance between different “streams” or “traditions” of Christian devotion.
Participants explore these traditions with the help of a Renovaré workbook, and readings from the Christian spiritual classics, and then put what they have learned into practice by means of spiritual exercises derived from these readings. Members of the group commit to continue for a specific period of time, during which they offer one another encouragement and mutual accountability.
The Trinity Renovaré group meets at 1:00 pm on a Thursday in the East Wing.
We are currently reading and discussing Scripture Unions’ Encounter with God series.
