The major responsibility of altar guilds in most Episcopal churches is the ―setting-up of the altar for services. Most are also responsible for the purchase and care of the items used at the altar for worship - including the priests‘ vestments, hangings, flowers, linens, communion vessels and candles. Often these lovely items are memorial or thanksgiving gifts from members of the congregation.
Trinity Altar Guild has one meeting each year, usually in March. Anyone wishing to know more about this important and deeply satisfying ministry is encouraged to attend the annual meeting or contact any member of the Guild or Betsy Travis.
